JOB SUMMARY
The General Manager, Ocean and Port Services, has overall operational (profit and loss) responsibility over their assigned region, and proactively develops the existing client base. S/he is highly data driven and utilizes various metrics to optimize operational processes, ensure quality, and increase throughput.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
1. Increases volume by actively pursuing new business that will be compatible with the overall scope of The Pasha Group's service lines
2. Effectively monitors costs via systems currently in place, and/or works with appropriate staff to establish new systems of measurement.
3. Ensures the ongoing development and maintenance of customer relationships
4. Works closely with the day-to-day operations managers of port services in region to ensure each business unit is operating at optimum capacity and efficiency
5. Facilitates the training and development of operations managers
6. Creates and/or recommends best practices related to departmental process flows.
7. Responsible for the financial process for Port Services, including submission of the annual budget, historic comparisions, variance reporting (actual vs. budget), etc
8. Maintains current rating and billing metrics
9. Routinely analyzes receivables to ensure they are within acceptable limits
10. Tracks and provides management reporting on key metrics
11. All other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Fast-paced office environment with moderate level of noise and frequent interruptions

EDUCATION:
BA/BS in logistics, or closely related field, such as business. Degree requirement may be substituted with 8 years experience in a logistics coordination capacity.

EXPERIENCE:
* 8 or more years of related experience with an emphasis on the sales, operations, and management of logistics services
* Experience running a profit and loss center successfully

SKILLS:
> Prior transportation experience desireable
> Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products at the following levels: -Excel, Word, Outlook: Intermediate Skill Level

PURPOSE OF JOB:

Oversees the PDS Division of The Pasha Group, Oversees the General operation of St. Peters, Mo. and Huntington Ca. PDS. This position is responsible for profit and loss and the attainment of long-range objectives. Leads the organization's effort to develop and improve operations through efficient and effective integrated processes. Implements common management processes to leverage organization resources. Directs operational reviews of cost and service structures, productivity measures and delivery methods to achieve ROI.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ensure customer's contractual requirements for service, quality, and pricing are met
2. Develop and foster relationships with customers, customer's business partiners, Ports and City governments, local community and related agencies
3. Provide recommendations for development of automotive operational plans, business plans, contracts, RFQs, and related policies and programs.
4. Seek out and evaluate strategic opportunities that will have a positive long-term effect on the success of the Company
5. Interact internally and externally with the executive level management
6. Meet of exceed the requirements of the Annual Plan and insure all internal and external customer metrics are achieved

5 BAY COUNTIES MILL AND CABINET APPRENTICESHIP

Applications for those interested in becoming an apprentice in the Mill Cabinet Industry in San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin, Alameda, and Contra Costa Counties are being accepted at the Five Bay Counties Mill and Cabinet Apprenticeship at 115 Broadway, Oakland, Ca. 94607, (510) 446-2236, on Monday and Friday afternoons only from 1:00PM to 4:30PM

HOURLY WAGE: Starting rate is 60% of the Journeymen rate.

AGE: Applicant must be at least 17 years of age on the date of referral

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must present high school diploma or its equivalent when applying
Must be at least 17 years of age
Must be willing to abide by State approved standards adopted by the Joint Apprenticeship Committee, which are parts of the Shelley-Maloney Act.
Must be willing to attend classes as required by the JATC.


Mill Cabinet Industry has an open program and will continuously accpt applications.
If unemployment increases in the Apprenticeship program, the JATC has the right to close the Program.

SAN JOAQUIN-STANISLAUS AREA PLUMBERS, PIPE & REFRIGERATION FITTERS JOINT AND APPRENTICESHIP AND TRAINING COMMITTEE

SUBJECT: APPLICATIONS FOR APPRENTICESHIP IN PLUMBING AND PIPE & REFRIGERATION FITTING

PROCEDURES FOR FILING APPLICATION:

The Joint Apprenticeship Committee of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Merced, Tuolumne, Mariposa, Amador, Calaveras and Alpine Counties will be accepting applications for entrance into the Apprentice Training Program.

On the second Tuesday of January, April, July, and October, applications will be taken between 8:00AM and 10:00AM at 4842 Nutcracker Lane, Modesto, Ca. The written exam consists of Reading Comprehension, Figure Visualization, Mechanical Ability and Basic Mathematics.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Must be High School Graduate with diploma or its equivalent
3. Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the Trade
4. Must have California driver's license
5. Must be willing to attend Related Instruction Classes.
6. Must be willing to abide by the State-approved Standards accepted by the Apprenticeship Committee
7. Starting wage is 45% of the Journeyman hourly rate of pay
8. Potential employment determined by Industry needs
9. Applicants will be place on the Apprenticeship Program eligibility list based upon their written examination and interview session.

SOUND AND COMMUNICATION APPRENTICESHIP FOR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Wage @ Fringe Benefits--$13.27 to $16.71 per hour to start, depending on location, as per IBEW/NECA Collective Bargaining Agreement (as of 12/01/08), with periodic advancement. Medical & Retirement benefits are provided.

Characteristics of the Trades--Apprentice will typically be under the supervision of a Sound and Communication installer/Technician at all times. The trade requires physical effort on the part of the apprentice to do climbing, crawling, crouching, lifting, use motorized tools, electronic test equipment and work in cramped quarters. Wiring is frequently color-coded for connecting purposes; therefore the worker cannot be colorblind. Mechanical ability and finger dexterity is essential. Work may be performed indoors or outdoos, in new and old construction environments.

Program Scope-- In order to achieve installer status, the 3-year Apprenticeship Agreement requires the Apprentice to complete 480 classroom of Related Supplemental Instruction, (4 weeks per year) and 4800 hours of On-The-Job training, through exposure to the following work processes: Component installation, Wire and Cable installation, Splicing and Termination, Maintenance and Service, and Testing and Start-Up.

* Individuals who can show that they meet the conditions listed below, after making a qualified application, will be afforded an oral interview by the JATC. Once interviewed, an applicant shall remain active on the Eligible Applicant List, subject to selection, for period of two (2) calendar years from the date of the interview.

Minimum Requirements -- Qualifications for Applicants

1. Must be 17 years of age to apply; 18 years of age at the time of selection and indenture. Valid photo I.D. required

2. Complete an application form, accurately responding to all questions, including statements indicating you are:

a. Physically and mentally able to safely perform or learn to safely perform essential functions of the job
b. Able to get to and from work at job sites, as assigned
c. Able and willing to attend all Related Supplemental instruction, as required
d. Able to climb and work from ladders, scaffolds, poles, and towers of various heights
e. Able to crawl and work in cramped spaces such as attics, manholes and crawlspaces
f. Able to read, hear and understand instructions and warnings
g. Show evidence of successful completion of one full year (two semesters) of High School Algebra or one semester of College Elementary Algebra with a minimum grade of "C" or equivalent or provide evidence of having successfully completed the NJATC Tech Math Course (available on-line at www.njatc.org). Pre-Algebra does not meet this requirement.

3. Be at least a high school graduate, or have a G.E.D., or have a two-year Associate Degree or higher.

4. Provide official ("sealed") transcript(s) for high school and/or post high school education and training. G.E.D. records must be submitted, if applicable. All records and transcripts must be in English.

5. If a Veteran, submit form DD-214 for possible consideration of military training and/or experience, if applicable.

6. Score "4" or higher, on the electrical trade's aptitude test developed and validated by the American Institutes for Research. The aptitude test includes reading comprehension and basic algebra (see: www.njatc.org website for mor e information.

7. Consent to Substance Abuse Screening

8. Applications must be completed in person, by the applicant, and may not be taken off-site. All required documentation must be provided by the applicant in order to complete a "qualified" application
