BUILDING MAINTENANCE MECHANIC, SACRAMENTO MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT (SMUD)

This position is located at the SMUD Hydrogeneration Headquarters,
15 miles east of Placerville / 55 miles east of Sacramento.

The incumbent will perform a variety of skilled industrial/commercial trades work including HVAC, electrical/mechanical/plumbing, carpentry/painting, and civil maintenance work in the operation, repair, and maintenance of District facilities, equipment and properties. May provide lead direction and work review to assigned staff on specific projects.

Requirements: Completion of a recognized 4-year apprenticeship in the building maintenance trade; successful completion of an accredited 2 year course in mechanical and/or electrical technology and two years experience; and 4 years experience in the operation, repair and maintenance of commercial or industrial buildings.
