March 19, 2009WALMART ORAL ARGUMENTThe following email is from ERA (Equal Rights Advocates): We are part of the legal team of the nation-wide gender discrimination case, Dukes v. Wal-Mart. On March 24, 2009, we will be arguing against Wal-Mart’s appeal – which challenges the ruling that certified this case as the largest civil rights class action in history- in front of an 11-judge Ninth Circuit en banc panel. We would like to invite you to attend the hearing to join us in our continuing battle against Wal-Mart and to witness history in the making. We need to show the court that the women of the class are watching and waiting for justice. Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at 2:00PM The hearing is open to the public. Please arrive early to ensure you get a seat at the hearing. Doors are expected to open at 1:00pm. You will need to bring a drivers’ license or other photo ID to be admitted to the courthouse. Bring your hardhats!
