ATLAS Trade and Logistics Program

The ATLAS Basic Warehousing and Logistics training program will prepare you for employment in a warehouse or shipping facility. Women are encouraged to apply.

DECEMBER 14th and 15th MANDATORY ORIENTATION SESSIONS at 10 am in Oakland.
MANDATORY Orientation dates for the upcoming class are
December 14th & 15th @ 10:00am. Potential students must attend one of these days. Next Class begins January 2010.

Training Requirements:
*Basic English and Math Skills
*Ability to be on time
*Willingness to work
*Ability to be in training from 9 am to 4 pm M-F for 10 weeks
*Ability to pass drug screening
Classes start in January

Warehousing has become one of the highest growth career opportunities in the Bay Area with thousands of projected job openings in the next decade.

This ATLAS training will last approximately 10 weeks and provide an introduction to warehouse technology, hazmat training, forklift operation, and basic warehousing processes and procedures.

ATLAS is a special career training project of the College of Alameda, Oakland Adult and Career Education, the Workforce Collaborative and the Teamsters. It includes partnerships with trade and logistics employers, the Port of Oakland, City of Oakland, and Alameda County Central Labor Council, and Alameda County Social Services
