Dear Tradeswomen

Are you looking for a great opportunity to reach out to young women who may be interested in looking at a career in construction?

Do you have a flexible job where you can take time off work to participate in outreach opportunities? (many public sector positions allow for this type of outreach) I

f are be unable to do an outreach event during the week, would you be available evenings or weekends?

Tradeswomen, Inc. is invited to join the North Coast Builders Exchange in presenting The "Careers in Construction" Expo to be held Wednesday May 14,2008.

Over 1,000 high school and middle school students were exposed to our industry at the 2007 Expo, and with our industry associations' support and participation that achievement will happen again.

Here are the details:
* The location is the Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial Building

* At least 1,000 students from Sonoma, Lake, and Mendocino Counties are expected to attend

* Event hours are from 8:30 am until 1:00 pm on Wednesday May 14th

* Setup hours are from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday May 13th and from 8:00 am until 8:30 am the day of the event

The efforts of Tradeswomen, Inc. have been terrific in the goal to promote the recruitment of young women into our industry.

We appreciate the time and energy that you've contributed to this outreach.

I hope that you'll consider our Careers in Construction Expo to be a valuable event.

Please contact me by email at bonnie@tradeswomen.org or call me direct at (510) 891-8773 ext. 315 to confirm your participation.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Rebuilding Together Projects

Tradeswomen Needed for Rebuilding Together Projects

We at San Francisco Rebuilding Together are excited about the possibility of having more tradeswomen work with us to make a direct and tangible difference for low-income San Franciscans and community facilities.

You have the ability to make the type of difference that our 2,000 unskilled volunteers cannot because of your knowledge of electrical, plumbing, dry walling, etc. It is fulfilling work!
